Job & Volunteer Opportunities

The Parks & Recreation Department accepts applications on a contiuous basis. We employee numerous part-time employees throughout the year. We need the most staff during our peak summer season (i.e. lifeguards, summer camp leaders, other recreation leaders, etc.). The hiring process may start as soon as January so make sure to plan ahead and be prepared.

*Most Recreation poistions require First Aid- CPR certficication

** All employees and volunteers must complete AB 2007 Concussion Training. Please click here for information on how to obtain HEADS UP Concussion tranining. (Free Program)

*** All employess and volunteers must complete Mandatory reporting traning prior to starting practice or staring work. Please contact the Recreation office for more information 559-876-6300 ext 1430.

**** Employees under the age of 18 are required to obtain a work permit from their respective school. Please contact your school for more details

    The Mission of the Sanger Parks and Recreation Department is to create a community, foster human development & provide memorable recreation experiences. The Sanger Parks and Recreation Department is a "full service" Department providing a wide variety of activities, events, programs and services to the Sanger Community and surrounding area from age 12 months to Senior Citizens. The Sanger Parks and Recreation Department prides itself in being customer driven, outcome oriented and collaboratively aggressive. It is our goal to improve the quality of life to the Sanger community through Recreation and Leisure. We are the essential connection to people and their leisure needs in the community and settings that we serve.
